Let me tell you that these guys came out on top as far as overall moving experience is concerned. The movers were possessed with only one goal when they came in to my apartment, to consolidate all the garbage I had accumulated, which I called furniture, and package it nice and clean for the ease of transportation across the country. They moved their magic wands and within a few hours my house was as empty as my wallet always is. Strictly speaking in engineering terms, they minimized the number of boxes needed to pack all the stuff, without excluding anything, no matter how trivial it was, for example iPhone instruction manual (who needs that) or "Microwaving for One" book I had lying around. They were able to carry heavy loads on their shoulders and walk in a straight line, without hitting walls or hot girls coming their way. They shipped my car 2K miles in open trailer, without damaging it and the car arrived exact same day that was promised to me, nothing short of amazing. My apartment stuff arrived a week later, was promptly unloaded from truck, assembled nicely and my case file was closed. We had completed our longest move ever without much hassle and stretching our budget. If I ever move again ,though chances of that happening are less than a meteor strike on 29th February, I would call these guys first. Their service and communication throughout the process was five star. This is the first time I used a professional moving company to move from Philadelphia to Cambridge, Massachusetts. They packed my one apartment bedroom carefully and professionally (with three amazing movers who came down from NYC). No fuss, and very attentive to detail. They packed my things as if it were their own property. Grace helped with the price quotation which was about 20% less than what other companies quoted. They also allowed me to have two different drop locations in Cambridge, my office and my home and only charged $100 extra for that second drop (of a dozen or more book boxes). John helped with the after sales service and he also deserves five stars. Overall, I highly recommend the company for any move, and I will use them again in the future without hesitation. Also, nice work to the guys from Boston who did the delivery, very kind and professional. I gave these movers a full score because they showed me that genuine companies that provide the quality service they claim still exist. I had no hopes for this moving being completed on time and they truly proved me wrong.

I had two weeks to move into our new place, we had two stories that needed to be entirely cleaned out prior to us leaving. I contacted Long Distance and they scheduled me a priority estimation in order for them to begin the move as soon as possible. The group arrived with three gentlemen as well as a supervisor, he approached our home and knocked asking if he could come in.

The entire estimation process took about forty five minutes and they were able to begin the move shortly after. It took them about three days to empty out the house, including a messy garage and a narrow attic, however I was very happy that it gave us time to receive our furniture close to our move in date. Our belongings arrived the Monday of the following week and we moved in the next day, very happy with their service and thankful to you for helping me meet my crucial date. read less

On both parts of our Move the movers were nothing but professional, on time, courteous, and very careful about their packing and wrapping of the furniture. On Saturday they delivered on time and put all the furniture together that had to be taken apart. My daughter was extremely nervous about the move and her stuff being in storage but they delivered on all their promises as far as getting all there safe. When The time comes for the need for a mover I will definitely use them without a doubt and I totally recommend them to anybody who is making any kind of a move. These guys were Experienced. Imagine job between some tricky hallways leaving my old place and up some stairs to get to my new place and didn't scratch anything. Making the extra effort to wrap everything made all the furniture remain in great condition. Both movers on each side of them move were equally strong and outgoing. My guard went down after they came to my place for estimate and from there it continued to go down with how smooth the service was.

Let me tell you that this company is EXCELLENT ! I researched moving companies on Yelp as that is my go to website to find companies that I can trust to produce positive outcomes. Customer service was excellent . My initial phone contact was with "Kelly" and she was so helpful, professional, and coordinated both Home and auto move so smoothly! The Home Movers were so professional and wrapped our computers, TV and furniture so well and on delivery every item was perfect.
The auto shipment was timely and employees were excellent and auto was delivered in perfect condition- I can't say enough about how impressed I am with LDM! I will recommend them to everyone !!

We came across many moving companies that would offer us a "package", but something
didn't feel right. After hours of research we stumbled across Long Distance Movers and contacted them right away.
At first we weren't expecting much, but the very first response we received from
them assured that they were, in fact, different from all the other moving
agencies. These guys were borderline perfect. They understood exactly what we
needed them to do and really tailored to all our needs. We had unlimited
contact via emails and phone. I was in a bit of a panic when it came to leaving
all our wedding gifts and other valuables in care of complete strangers, but
they assured me everything would be fine. And they were right.
They showed patience and understanding regarding other commitments we had other than
the moving process. They also agreed to provide us with free storage services for some items we wanted brought along at a later
date.
The staff of Long Distance Movers were available from the start to the end of the moving process which was very reassuring.
Long Distance Movers were the best priced moving company we found, given the scope and the quality of the services they offer.
They are absolute professionals that make it all seem so easy. Our relocation
went off without a hitch and we have to admit we actually enjoyed our moving day.
We owe it all to these guys!
Admittedly, it's pretty scary choosing a stranger to plan your interstate moving and handle your belongings, but we definitely picked the best people

I started searching the next morning, and came across a myriad of different companies. After getting some insight on each one, one stood out. It was Long Distance Movers. Their website was neatly organized which drew me in the most. I decided to look at the reviews and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. They had over a hundred positive reviews from previous satisfied customers. I kept on reading and eventually gave them a call. Another concern of mine was pricing. I wasn't on a budget really, but I still wanted to save some money to hopefully start my own business one day. I decided to give them a call and the lady quickly answered. She was extremely kind, polite and very helpful. She provided me with all the information I could possibly need, including how to prepare my car for relocation, how much will the journey cost etc.. After finding out how affordable this company was, I hired them immediately! I scheduled my relocation and started preparing my car per their instructions. They were even nice enough to check up on me occasionally to see if the preparations were going well as well as provide me with any additional information. My car was prepared for transportation, so they took the car first. Afterwards they started packing and wrapping all of my belongings in preparation for relocation. They were kind and polite. I could not even put into words how impressed I was. Before I knew it they had arrived at my new address ready to help me unpack everything and when they finished they left. This was truly an amazing experience and I am so thankful to have been less stressed. Without Long distance movers I wouldn't have been able to relocate so easily and smoothly at an affordable cost. After diligent research Long Distance not only gave me the best bang for my buck, but customer service was amazing to work with. Although a lot more pricer than others places (I paid a little over $3K to move a standard 1-bedroom apartment across country), the quality of service and ease of moving you get makes the price worth it. The best part of their business model is quoting you at the beginning rather than at the end. Prices do not change even after they move you in. If you are one of those that are scared of losing your belongs (ME!) or things breaking, you don't have to worry about that with these folks. Not only do they print labels with barcodes attached to your information (name, phone #, and address) they paste it on EVERYTHING! Even the tools. Just to ensure your package makes it to the final destination unharmed. They also do a fanatic job of packing your furniture to ensure no bruises or scratches. After everything, they give you a follow up call to ensure everything went smooth, and on top of that they even offered me a Starbucks gift card! A guy named Mark was really nice about scheduling the appointment and even called back after taking a look at the map to rearrange pickup so that it would be more time efficient. The move itself went well and the crew that came was efficient, cordial, and professional. They finished in exactly the estimated time which was 3 hours (+ travel time back to the office). My only issue was that when the movers arrived at the first location, they seemed concerned and slightly annoyed at the size of the truck I chose with Gabriel because they did not think everything would fit based on the fact that we had to go to a storage unit next. This stressed me out a little bit, especially since Gabriel reassured me that the truck size would be fine for the amount of furniture I have. But, in the end, everything fit and everything went smoothly. Also, I was able to pay by credit card but if you pay with cash, you get a slight discount. I called many moving companies and this company seemed the best priced - and they were also available on my moving day. I recommend them. read less

We had a very strict date to meet our move and to get everything out of our old place and into storage. We called and received an estimation right the next day and assured us that it would be no problem to accommodate to our deadline.

A supervisor arrived the following morning and said that they have several trucks and workers on call, ready to work if necessary! We noticed two gentlemen outside with him and apparently there were many more prepared to arrive if they felt the extra manpower was necessary. He scanned the entire house from the boxes to the couches and even took an extra look at the glass china that my parents love to collect.

He offered us a cheap insurance plan and assured me that with or without it they will be nothing but cautious with all of our things. We purchased it just because you are never too sure and when you have glass objects or fragile belongings that might crack or shatter you just want to be safe. Luckily none of those things happened and we were able to complete the entire first floor of the move the first day. The second floor and the basement took another day and a half but we managed to finish two days prior to our move in date and all of our stuff was scheduled to arrive before we even landed! So happy with how things turned out, try these guys they are great. read less
