Thanks to these guys they helped me overcome my issues. From the very beginning I called them they assured me of stress free service and delivered what they promised. Communication and booking were very easy. The movers came on time, I was still finishing up packing of my stuff. The guys told me to 'seat back and relax, we'll do packing for you'.
So long story short: I received my things at my new place as I scheduled them to be delivered - on time, safe and sound, no damage!

Long Distance Movers arrived on time, extremely pleasant group of guys, very courteous, treated all of our belonging with the utmost of care, and went out of their way to protect our property too.

They were cautious with moving around our furniture, making sure that nothing touches the wall, making sure that our rugs would not get dirty. At one point they wanted to take off their shoes because our rug was just cleaned, but I told them they did not have to. One thing that I really liked was once we got into my brand-new home they reassembled some of my furniture. They seemed to have loved their job, they were very friendly and professional.

Very professional - I really can't say enough good things about Long Distance Movers. They made me feel very comfortable, and had an amazing attitude. I have never been able to say how great a moving company was. The last experience I had with a moving company had me worried about the process. They didn't have the great attitude, strong worth ethic's, and fair prices like Long Distance Movers had. My sister is also about to move into Seattle and i already have her using Long Distance Movers as well. I would totally recommend them to everyone. read less

Gave these guys a ring and told them how excited I was about my new purchased car. In response, they took the car from the dealer SAME DAY and told me I would be receiving it in no time! The contacts with the moving company via both phone and e-mail were helpful and concise. Questions were answered quickly and professionally. The moving crew who came to Galveston were friendly and very professional. We were told we would be contacted in a day or two with the delivery date. During the week this move occurred there were icy conditions on the roads out of Galveston. We received the call with the date of delivery as we were on the road to Florida. We couldn't have been more pleased that our furniture would arrive the day after our arrival! No sleeping on an air mattress in an empty apartment. The brothers who delivered our furniture were professional and quick! They assembled all of the furniture as required. Nothing was damaged. I am generally wary of trusting companies with which I have little experience, especially with a cross country moving company (I'm trusting them with everything I own across the country!) but I was happily surprised with this company. The cost was more than reasonable, they were punctual and I received everything exactly when I needed it. On top of that I experienced absolutely no damages to my property from the move. I would definitely use them again. Everyone that I encountered was professional, from the wonderful young man who gave me the quote to the movers and drivers that helped me on both ends of the move. The very hospitality that this reputable company shows all of their clients, even for free consultations and estimates, truly proves that they are there to actually help and not just drain your pockets. We gave Long Distance a call after prior attempts at negotiating a deal with previous companies did not work, ironically enough we had a cheaper rate here than both companies we called prior.
What was very astonishing is that moving companies usually have flat rates, and most companies at least try to maintain their prices in a similar range. The two companies we called previously we had also found on Yelp and they had relatively more reviews. However, after giving them a call and having a nearly ten minute conversation with the man at the front desk, we ended up getting three or four different price estimates. And each time he would include a random fee which I do not even think I asked for whatever he was offering. Anyways, if you're moving into or out of Dallas, give these guys a call don't get ripped off by the other guys who just try to upsell you. Long Distance shows that they truly care about helping their customers and not just making a profit. read less

All of the guys we got assigned were hard workers and they spent no time fooling around, they got straight to work. Before we even got a chance to offer to help we had realized they had cleared out an entire room, we had a large basement that needed to be emptied out as well. The one good part was that we did plan on keeping all of the furniture in the house so we left a lot of unnecessary furniture and belongings in the old house, that made our job much easier. read less

Let me tell you that these guys came... read moreIf there was a Nobel prize for moving..... I have moved a few times before so know what to expect from movers. Let me tell you that these guys came out on top as far as overall moving experience is concerned. The movers were possessed with only one goal when they came in to my apartment, to consolidate all the garbage I had accumulated, which I called furniture, and package it nice and clean for the ease of transportation across the country. They moved their magic wands and within a few hours my house was as empty as my wallet always is. Strictly speaking in engineering terms, they minimized the number of boxes needed to pack all the stuff, without excluding anything, no matter how trivial it was, for example iPhone instruction manual (who needs that) or "Microwaving for One" book I had lying around. They were able to carry heavy loads on their shoulders and walk in a straight line, without hitting walls or hot girls coming their way. They shipped my car 2K miles in open trailer, without damaging it and the car arrived exact same day that was promised to me, nothing short of amazing. My apartment stuff arrived a week later, was promptly unloaded from truck, assembled nicely and my case file was closed. We had completed our longest move ever without much hassle and stretching our budget. If I ever move again ,though chances of that happening are less than a meteor strike on 29th February, I would call these guys first. I would whole heartily recommend these guys for their timeliness, coordination and helpfulness. I hope your business goes the long distance. read less

Michael was my contact at Long Distance Movers and he was wonderful and put up with my constant questions and requests and changes. I received a quote and after all was said and done that's what I paid...there were no hidden charges or additional add on charges that surprised me. The movers had some car trouble en route to pick up my belongings but despite showing up late they still did the entire pack and move and were very professional about it. On my move in all of my furniture was still in its original condition as they did a fantastic job wrapping everything. His oldest brother and girlfriend did the packing and said that the people who came to pick up his brother's things were so amazing and so professional that it was a pleasure. I must say that my oldest son is a perfectionist as I am and for him to pay that high of a compliment about anyone is pretty darn amazing.
Patrick Simms who took care of our paperwork etc. and arranged the move was a lovely person to work with and when I couldn't get him on the phone the other people who were there answered every question I had and took care of us so well.
The load of furniture was just dropped off this afternoon and the men who delivered it, John and his partner, could not have been lovelier or more helpful than they were.

He also served as the concierge throughout the move. I was able to receive timely replies from him via email and phone the few times I had questions throughout the move.

The actual movers and driver arrived on time and were very quick as well as efficient in the moving process. Delicate/expensive items such as my TV and computer desk were wrapped in moving blankets before being packaged and secured away in the cargo hold. It was a different team who unloaded my stuff in Texas, but they were also quick to work and as professional as can be. Everything arrived in the condition it was in. The company also has an inventory list with labels to keep track of everything you pack so you can just compare the list of items to all your labeled furniture/boxes to make sure nothing gets lost. For the extra valuable items, there's extra insurance you can pay, but I moved relatively light so I didn't need it.

All in all I'm very satisfied and would recommend anyone who's planning to move across states to consider their service. It was money well spent. read less
