As in previous reviews, I want to confirm that they are very professional and very hard workers. None of my belongings were damaged. They helped me move at the end of April 2014. I live in an apartment complex and will be transferring to a better unit in a much better location. I decided to hire them again for this very short move and I feel very confident that these guys will continue to be professional and carefully move my belongings again. They were so willing to cooperate with us in any way possible, including meeting our deadlines and bringing special types of equipment to ensure the safety of our stuff. One example is the wooden crates they had that enabled all of the things you needed to be moved to remain still while they are shipped.
Since your stuff is moving many miles across the country insurance would be something good to consider. They offered us several affordable deals as well as a bundle that included insurance. Very reliable company and they are willing to help you out understanding the current state of the economy.
The best part of this whole thing is that they even helped us clear out the unnecessary stuff in our house and found us a good and cheap storage company to store our stuff into. We had a lot of furniture that needed to remain in the old house and they offered us to move those out if need be. But my parents were ordering new sets of couches and kitchen tables so I guess we really did not need it. Nevertheless, very great experience and would consider using them again. read less

I forgot to reserve the elevator for my move in the high-rise I was moving out of. I had around 30 mins to get everything moved out of my 1000 square ft 1 bedroom + Den apartment and they made it work.

The movers hustled and still stayed organized even with the huge time crunch. Literally moving out in between other peoples moves. After that was accomplished the rest of the move was cake walk. They even helped me a unpack a bit! read less

We came across many moving companies that would offer us a "package", but something
didn't feel right. After hours of research we stumbled across Long Distance Movers and contacted them right away.
At first we weren't expecting much, but the very first response we received from
them assured that they were, in fact, different from all the other moving
agencies. These guys were borderline perfect. They understood exactly what we
needed them to do and really tailored to all our needs. We had unlimited
contact via emails and phone. I was in a bit of a panic when it came to leaving
all our wedding gifts and other valuables in care of complete strangers, but
they assured me everything would be fine. And they were right.
They showed patience and understanding regarding other commitments we had other than
the moving process. They also agreed to provide us with free storage services for some items we wanted brought along at a later
date.
The staff of Long Distance Movers were available from the start to the end of the moving process which was very reassuring.
Long Distance Movers were the best priced moving company we found, given the scope and the quality of the services they offer.
They are absolute professionals that make it all seem so easy. Our relocation
went off without a hitch and we have to admit we actually enjoyed our moving day.
We owe it all to these guys!
Admittedly, it's pretty scary choosing a stranger to plan your interstate moving and handle your belongings, but we definitely picked the best people

It took me quite a lot of time to make this decision, but once I did, I wanted to do it right, and that was only possible with a reliable long distance moving company. I have a couple of friends who had gone through this process before me, so I asked them to recommend one. There were several different suggestions, so, in order to make a choice, I decided to check these companies' websites and see what exactly they have to offer. The first company I checked was Long Distance Movers. Having read about their services and prices, I realized there was no need for me to check the rest of companies my friends had suggested. I just grabbed my phone and called LDM to ask for more details. You know, first impressions are really important to me, so I was very happy to find out that these guys were so kind and friendly after my very first conversation with one of their reps. The woman was so patient and kind. She answered my numerous questions, such as: Do you provide me with moving boxes? How about bubble wrap? What other packing materials you use to protect my belongings? Are your movers trained for what they do? Are they efficient? (I hate it when people drag their feet), and many others. I know some of these could be considered impolite, but I was just so anxious about this procedure I couldn't control myself, and the lady on the phone did not show it in any way that she was bothered by such questions - she was patient and understanding. Anyway, after our long talk and all the explanations she gave me, I felt ready to schedule the moving day. My move was quite demanding, as I wanted to move my apartment, my office, also needed my car transported, and I wanted them to take care of packing everything for moving. However, you wouldn't believe how easy it seemed when done by their amazing team of professionals. I'm sure it was not really that easy for them to deal with all that, especially with my constant questions, but they just never showed that they found it annoying. They remained friendly and relaxed from the beginning to the very end, which means a lot to the person who's moving, as you are under a lot of pressure. They also took care of unpacking my boxes when we got to LA, so I was actually left with the impression that the relocation to another part of the state is a piece of cake. I mean, of course, it's not, but that's how it feels with Long Distance Movers. The truck was right on schedule arriving on move day and finishing up in about 5 hours (which was alot sooner than i expected).

Everything was packed very well, preventing any breakage and shifting damage. I was a bit scared something would happen so the guys packed everything double with out me even asking. This made me feel like they really do care about our belongings. Everything arrived safe. Going to our new home they were very quick on unpacking and moving everything into the new house.

Luckily it was only one story but many rooms, so every time they brought a box, they would ask us what room they wanted it to be in. I honestly don't think they even took a break. They had a very strong work ethic and I really respected that.

Blankets, bubble wrap, pack paper and boxes - the estimate of these materials was spot on and the quote as well. No surprises with anything, Great communication and an even better crew. This was a move that exceeded my expectations and I recommend Long Distance Movers. read less

I moved from Denver to Connecticut.
Auto delivery took about a week and household goods took 16 days from the pick up date for delivery.
Both pick up and deliver crew are very good.Very efficient, friendly and got things done in about 3 hours.( we lived in a two bedroom apartment.)
I felt car delivery truck driver to be little bit 'rude/frustrated' about his job but I did not care much about it.
Good thing about this company - the person who gives you the quote(Jake in my case) will be the person who you will be following till the the end(of course you get some emails from other in that company for updates..etc).
No major damages, got almost all of the things delivered on the specified date(you will typically get notice the day prior to delivery from the truck driver).
I would definitely hire this company for my future moves! read less

I am generally wary of trusting companies with which I have little experience, especially with a cross country moving company (I'm trusting them with everything I own across the country!) but I was happily surprised with this company. The cost was more than reasonable, they were punctual and I received everything exactly when I needed it. On top of that I experienced absolutely no damages to my property from the move. They took into account everything and made sure to execute what was needed. My spouse and I live on the fifth floor in my building and there was only an hour time slot available for this move. I was definitely a bit nervous that they would show up late and I would violate my good terms with the building by taking up extra time with the elevator. There was a move in scheduled right after our move out so timing needed to be correct. Long Distance movers showed up right on time and began loading up multiple boxes at once onto the elevator. They worked quickly but it wasn't sloppy. Everything that I already packed got on the truck within 45 mins. It just just two moves to handle my studio. They were kind and took the job seriously. I have done it many times and thought that was the norm. Our last recent move we decided to try something new.

We called up Long Distance Movers, which we heard from a friend was awesome. They gave us a great quote and also gave us peace of mind that everything would be taken care of. After talking with the owner, I felt at ease with the move. He was very friendly and made sure all of our concerns were taken care of. The level of professionalism was perfect. I was comfortable and had a lot of confidence on this team. I literally stood back while the guys hand packed everything in the house with meticulous care. I didnt even pack one thing (although i tried). The furniture was wrapped and the dishes and fragile furniture was wrapped in bubble wrap.

Not only did they do a good job packaging our belongings, they were very careful. They weren't in any rush and made sure that no furniture would bang up the walls or slide around in the back of the truck. Everything was moved into their huge truck. After everything was packed and loaded up, the house was spotless. All we had to do was vacuum. No one wants to move, but if you do, call Long Distance Movers. They are very reliable. read less

The contacts with the moving company via both phone and e-mail were helpful and concise. Questions were answered quickly and professionally. The moving crew who came to Galveston were friendly and very professional. We were told we would be contacted in a day or two with the delivery date. During the week this move occurred there were icy conditions on the roads out of Galveston. We received the call with the date of delivery as we were on the road to Florida. We couldn't have been more pleased that our furniture would arrive the day after our arrival! No sleeping on an air mattress in an empty apartment. Long Distance Movers arrived on time, extremely pleasant group of guys, very courteous, treated all of our belonging with the utmost of care, and went out of their way to protect our property too.

They were cautious with moving around our furniture, making sure that nothing touches the wall, making sure that our rugs would not get dirty. At one point they wanted to take off their shoes because our rug was just cleaned, but I told them they did not have to. One thing that I really liked was once we got into my brand-new home they reassembled some of my furniture. They seemed to have loved their job, they were very friendly and professional.

Very professional - I really can't say enough good things about Long Distance Movers. They made me feel very comfortable, and had an amazing attitude. I have never been able to say how great a moving company was. The last experience I had with a moving company had me worried about the process. They didn't have the great attitude, strong worth ethic's, and fair prices like Long Distance Movers had. LDM charges based on an estimate of items to be moved, not by weight, which is a good thing because they guarantee the price they estimate and give you, irrespective of weight and if you might end up with a few more things to move than were included in the estimate. A rep from the company came to my home and did a walk-through and drafted an initial list and estimate that we worked from. Everything arrived in good shape--nothin missing, nothing broken. There was an unanticipated delay in delivery of my things of 3 days due to circumstances beyond LMD's control (the transcontinental moving truck broke down and was under repair for 3-4 days). They delivered late on a Saturday afternoon. They refunded me an amount based on the 3-day delay due to truck repairs, and at every point along the way a rep from the co either texted, emailed, or phoned me to let me know the status of my shipment and provide an updated ETA. Their customer service is excellent as well as their moving services, and I would use them again--highly recommend them! read less
